Company: Global 500, multinational company Situation/problem: The company needed to create a new business unit -- to make it the leading P&L center in the division. Efforts: Defined customers needs. Prepared proposals to acquire new business. Worked with other organizations (marketing, engineering, operations, pricing, contracts, legal, manufacturing, procurement, test, etc.) to plan, organize, direct and control resources to apply to each project. Led 250 people in project teams and program managers as needed. Results: 100% of projects came in on time, within budget. Built a $50 million business unit, in two years. On a $20 million project, methods doubled profits (form $1.5 million to $3 million), while reducing the total cost to the customer by $2 million.
